Glulam timber structures
Madercon designs, fabricates and assembles glulam and CLT for halls, long-span roofs and pergolas. The piece leaves the workshop; load-bearing timber stays under cover.
Glulam covers spans framing cannot: indoor pool, hall, shed or a long cantilever. Less weight than steel, dry assembly and a soffit that can stay visible.
We work for the end client and for architects and engineers. We hand over structure ready for the roof package: the beam is not the rain layer.

Design, workshop and covering
A glulam structure is not improvised on site. It is designed, fabricated and covered.
- Design. Spans, wind, fire and joints. Coordination with the designer when a team is already there.
- Workshop. Cutting, hardware drilling and numbering. Plot assembly is sequence, not on-site cutting.
- Under cover. Roof, eave and junctions take water away. If an edge stays visible outdoors, it gets covering and a protected end.
- Uses. Halls, indoor pools, large pergolas, long-span roofs and refurbishment strengthening.

What is a glulam structure?
A load-bearing piece of glued laminations, able to cover long spans with less weight than steel. Designed, fabricated in the workshop and assembled with its own hardware.
Is the structure left outdoors?
Load-bearing timber works under cover. Roof and junctions take water away. An outdoor-visible member gets covering and a protected end.
